Brent Dugwyler

Brent Dugwyler earned his Juris Doctor from Liberty University School of Law where he finished in the top 1% of his class and earned numerous academic accolades. He received 13 CALI awards, which are awarded to the student with the highest grade in the class, for the following courses: Advanced Research & Writing, Appellate Advocacy, Civil Procedure, Constitutional Law, Criminal Procedure, Lawyering Skills II, Lawyering Skills IV, Professional Responsibility, Property, Remedies, Torts I, and Torts II. Brent also served as Symposium Editor for Liberty Law Review and was a member of the Liberty Alternative Dispute Resolution team.

Prior to founding Eliza Law, Brent practiced as a civil defense attorney and as managing attorney at a nationwide plaintiff’s firm. As a former “Big Law” insurance defense attorney, Brent now leverages his knowledge of how insurance companies evaluate and negotiate claims to stay a step ahead in every negotiation. His tenure as managing attorney at a nationwide firm has enabled him to assemble and lead an elite team at Eliza Law with an unwavering commitment to excellence.

Outside of work, Brent enjoys sports, reading, and spending time with his wife and kids.
